Frequently asked questions

A: A lease is an agreement that outlines the terms of how someone can use your beat. When you sell a beat, you’re essentially selling the rights for someone else to use it in their own music. A lease sets out how someone can use the beat, including how many streams or downloads they’re allowed, whether they can use it for commercial purposes, and whether they own exclusive rights to the beat.

A: We offer four different lease options: Standard, Premium, Unlimited, and Exclusive. The Standard License is the most basic option and is good for someone who is just starting out. The Premium License is a step up from the Standard License and includes more features. The Unlimited Lease is our best value option, as it includes unlimited usage. The Exclusive License gives the user exclusive rights to the beat.

The main difference between these licenses is the amount of usage rights that are granted to the buyer. The Standard license allows for a limited number of digital audio streams, audio copies sold/downloaded, and video views, whereas the Premium license increases those limits. The Unlimited Lease license provides unlimited usage rights for all of those parameters. The Exclusive License grants full ownership of the beat to the buyer, making it exclusively theirs to use.

The Standard license includes an MP3 file and allows for 50,000 digital audio streams, 5,000 audio copies sold/downloaded, and 50,000 video views. The Premium license includes both an MP3 and WAV file and allows for 100,000 audio streams, 25,000 audio copies sold/downloaded, and 100,000 video views. The Unlimited Lease license includes an MP3 file, a WAV file, and trackouts and allows for unlimited usage in all parameters. The Exclusive License includes an MP3 file, a WAV file, and trackouts and grants full ownership of the beat to the buyer.
